  • Missing in Action – Contest

Last week when I started blogging again I announced a contest for anyone who left a comment on my Missing in Action Post, that I would choose, at random, a winner of a $10 itunes gift card.

I have 2 blogs – www.kimberlyjarman.net and www.xanga.com/kimberly_jarman, so I pulled all the comments off of both blogs and put all the names in a basket and drew one name.

    The lucky winner is:

Trufflequeen – Vanessa from my xanga blog

To claim your prize you need to melanie @ kimberlyjarman.com and give her your contact information. She will then get you a $10 itunes card!

We are going to be doing more contests with a lot of different surprises, so keep checking back!!

    Kim:)

  • Reagan Juarez – Cutest Little Guy

Isn’t he the sweetest little thing on earth? A couple of weeks ago I was asked to take pictures of little 4 week old Reagan Juarez. I love taking baby pictures because you never know what you will get, but this shoot turned out to be one of my favorites.

Reagan did so great and allowed us to do so many fun things with him. We got great pictures and I can’t wait until his next session. Reagans parents choose to do a Baby Lifestyle package, which is 3 different sessions within the first year of Reagans life. This way we can capture the brand new little baby, the crawler, and the walker… all major stages in a baby’s life.

Below are a few favorites of the session.

I Love this little outfit.. he’s Daddy’s little Rocker!

    One of my Favs!!!

    Another Fav!

I am so excited about these next two pictures with the Piano… new FAVs of all time!

Reagans Daddy has a recording studio in their house, so we had to get some pictures with the drums!!!

Reagan, you are the cutest little thing and I can’t wait to see you when you are crawling!! Thanks Juarez Family for allowing me to capture these special times!

  • Marcella and Chris’s Wedding at the Windemere in Mesa, AZ

Chris and Marcella got married on Saturday at the Windemere Hotel in Mesa, AZ. I have gotten to know Chris and Marcella very well over the last year and they have become good friends of Jamie’s and mine. It was quite fun because Jamie and Kailee came as guests, so i got to see them!! I also got a great shot of Kailee and Jamie dancing… made me cry.. you can see it at the end.

It was supposed to rain all day on Saturday, but we prayed the clouds away and it worked!!!! We had a beautiful day and were able to get lots of great pictures.

I also have to thank Jenny and Lizzie for helping out. These are 2 girls from my workshops that have done so great and are starting their own businesses. They have learned a lot and came to shoot with me for the day. They both did fantastic.

    The dress… It was gorgeous!

Chris and his dad getting ready.

There were so many cute kids running around, but I love this shot!

Lots of emotions… this is Marcella’s brother and mom… they were balling watching Marcella come down the aisle.

Love this shot we captured of Chris… this was right when he saw her.. he was very happy!

Dad was very emotional as well! Lots of happy tears.

We convinced Marcella and Chris to take a short little field trip off site to a great place to take pictures. We got some really great ones and I LOVE them all! Aren’t they so cute?

    Marcella looked beautiful!

    I love this!

I have to end with a shot that I took of Jamie and Kailee dancing. It was the first dance of the night and Jamie surprised me by bringing Kailee up to the dance floor. I started crying.. it’s an awesome thing to see your husband dancing with your little girl. I got mad at him though afterwards because he distracted me. LOL!!! I’m so glad I got this shot though!

Thank you Chris and Marcella for letting me be a part of your day!!! You are both wonderful and I’m so thankful for our friendship!! Enjoy marriage.. it’s a wonderful thing!

Meet the Amazeen family… aren’t they so cute? I had SOOOO much fun on this shoot! I Love families who are fun and willing to do anything. We got some great pictures and I truly loved every minute of it. The kids were so fun and so well behaved. Andy, you can tell is a wonderful big brother and little Sophia… she would come up and hold my hand whenever we walked to a new location.. it was the cutest thing. She was a very fun 3 year old and reminded me of me when I was her age, especialy the curly hair!

  • Thank you for your service Shaun….

Shaun grew up 2 house down from me from age 2 until I was out of high school. He was pretty much like my brother the entire time. We rode bikes, played forts, built snow slides and castles, and football in the street. I have so many memories of my friend.

After High School we lost touch for awhile. I did my thing and Shaun joined the Army. About 5 years ago I was able to reconnect with him for a bit, but then lost track of him once more only knowing that he could be called to go to Iraq at any time. About a year ago I started googling his name to try to find him again and I was desperate to make sure that he was ok.

I was so glad when I found out that he was ok. He was serving in Iraq and had been for awhile. He had also gotten married and had a little boy. I managed to make contact with his wife, Keri, and reconnected with Shaun and his family through my favorite thing… facebook!!!

About a month ago I saw a post that Keri had written to Shaun on facebook. She told him that his son had just taken his first steps. My heart was broken…he wasn’t here to see his son turn 1 or take his first steps. I couldn’t imagine what it would be like to not have my husband here to see Kailee grow up in these most important moments. I really wanted to do something for Shaun so that he could see his son and have pictures that documented this place of his life.

I emailed Keri and asked her if I could do a session for Desi, their 1 year old son. She was thrilled and agreed to meet me to get some pictures done.

A couple of weeks ago we met up and I was able to meet Keri and Desi for the first time. It was special to me to meet the wife and son of a friend that was more like a brother. I felt like I was meeting family.

We took some great pictures of Desi and I hope these pictures will help Shaun to see what an amazingly cute and wonderful Kid he has waiting for him when he gets home.

I have to thank Shaun so much for serving this country and protecting all of us. He truly is a hero. Thank you Shaun, I hope you enjoy these pictures of your family.

    Isn’t he Beautiful!

    Love this!

    Keri is gorgeous!

    Sweet Moment.

    He LOVED this!

    Look at those eyes!

    Love it!

    Such a cute kid!

I love this one of Desi and Keri

You are all in my prayers… come home soon Shaun!

  • Liz and Durann’s Day After Pictures

Well, i’m starting to get a little caught up. It’s amazing how much editing has to be done to stay on top of things:)

In October, while I was out in Florida for Liz and Durann’s wedding, I decided to do a day after session with them. We had a lot of fun and got to do things that they wouldn’t have done on the day of the wedding. This led to very very cool pictures!

I wanted to share a few favs!!

It’s really fun to be able to photograph friends that you know! I’m really excited for their wedding in February! They are a great couple and Jamie and I are glad to call them friends:)
