My Three Sons Designs

A couple posts back I mentioned Jen Byard with My Three Sons Designs.

Jen has an awesome company that makes blankets, onsies, burp cloths,
and just about anything cute for babies! I was able to take some
pictures for her for her website and already posted the pictures of the
little girl, well I just finished the pictures of the little boys so
now I have more to share.

These little guys are so cute and were so happy! You can tell that Jen’s products make them super excited.

These are great for baby shower gifts so make sure that you check everything out on the website. Jen is also doing a blog giveaway right now too. Check it out here, you could win some cool stuff!

I also want to thank Blissful Living Studio for allowing me to use the studio to shoot these in. If you want to do something really fun this summer check out some of the classes that the studio is offering.

Update and a contest!!

Things are going to be slowing down around the studio for the next few
months as we are anticipating the arrival of the next addition to the
Jarman Family, Baby Kailee! Please have patience with us as we
navigate this new season of life and business. Melanie will continue
to be in the studio on a regular, though limited, basis to return phone
calls, emails, etc. Things will be back in full swing starting in
October as we are completely booked with weddings and sessions for that
month! If you are needing to place an order or schedule a session,
please contact us in the next week in order for us to best serve you!

Also, because I haven’t done a contest in a long time I thought it would be fun to do a baby contest!!!

Contest time:

Kailee’s due date is July 26th, in just a couple of weeks!!! So I want
everyone to chime in and tell me when you think she will actually be
born (the date and time). The person that gets closest to her date and
time of birth will get a $10 ITunes Gift certificate!!!

All you have to do is comment on when you think she will be born and
then stay tuned for the update when she finally comes! Once things slow
down a little bit we will look at all the comments and the winner will
get a $10 ITunes Gift Card!

I might not be updating as regularly because of everything that will be
going on, but I hope to let you all know once Kailee is born and at
least post a couple of pictures!!! I’m in for a wild ride… wish me
luck!!!

New Website

I’m so excited to finally announce that we have a new wedding
website!!! I have been needing to update my website for some time now
and decided that now is the time to do it! We finally just finished it

Photography Workshop Recap

Last Saturday Jennifer and I held our first Photography Workshop for Beginners.
We had a really great time getting to meet all of the attendees and we
felt like it went really well! Based on what everyone who attended
said, we feel it was a success and look forward to doing more in the
future. Everyone said they learned something new and felt it was a
tremendous help to understanding your cameras and the fundamentals
better through the hands-on instruction.

Above are a few
pictures, but unfortunately the flash was inadvertently turned off on
the point-and-shoot, so these pictures are pretty grainy and dark.
(Thanks Katie, for helping to capture part of the day.)

Future Workshops::

We
will definitely hold another workshop or two in the fall; likely the
beginners workshop again as well as a more intermediate version that
will include models and a live shoot. As of now we do not have a date
selected, but if you are interested in being on the mailing list for
our future workshops, please send me an email and we’ll make sure to keep you updated! All of you who attended saturday will be automatically added.

Thank
you to everyone who attended last Saturday and helped make our first
workshop a success! We can’t wait to see your work and how you evolve

Pictures in the Pines – The Radacks

It’s always intimidating and also flattering when another photographer
asks you to take pictures of their family! Jennifer Radack with OGrace Photography saw
that I was doing Pictures in the Pines pictures and thought it was a
great way for their family to get pictures done out of the heat. They
are from Colorado and miss the pine trees and cool weather so they
decided to make the weekend a camping trip for the kids and also family
picture time.

I love that they allowed me to take them back roading to find some
really fun and different locations for the pictures! We got some great
ones!

I Love this series…. their little girl was sneaking up behind them and we got some great reactions:)

Pictures in the Pines – The Hummers

I have known the Hummer family for as long as I can remember. David and
I went to High School together and I used to hang out with him and
Robert all the time playing basketball. I also worked for the Hummers
in their Restaurant during High School so I have lots of memories!

A few years ago Nancy asked me to photograph Robert and Crystal’s
wedding and I was thrilled! When she called me up and said she heard I
was doing Pictures in the Pines and wanted to set up a family picture I
was so excited. All the kids were in town and it was the perfect
weekend to do it!

It’s so crazy when you see your friends having families and watch
families that you’ve known forever grow…. we got a good mix of
everything, including the dog (she was feeling left out).

Thanks Hummers!!!!

Aren’t
they all so sweet… it’s crazy that my friends can have 3 kids already
and one is a 7 year old!!! I feel so old!!! But they are beautiful!

Reminder – only one more week until the workshop

Well there is only one more week left until we have our photography workshop, so I wanted to post a little reminder!!

This
workshop is for ANYONE who wants to learn more about photography! We
are going to go over a lot of really good things to help make you a
better photographer.

Pictures in the Pines – Reece Gonzalez

This
week I am up in Pinetop and doing a few sessions for families who want
to get out of the heat!!! This is one of my favorite families, the
Gonzalez family. I photographed their wedding and also their little boy
Reece’s first pictures at 8 weeks. Well Reece is now 8 months old so we
met up again to take more pictures. Since Randy and Michele come up to
Pinetop a lot we thought it was a great idea to take pictures up here.
I’m so glad we did! We got some very cute shots of the family and of
Reece.

Look at how cute this little guy is!!!

We also were able to get pictures with Grandma and Grandpa!

I
love this one of Randy and Reece… we were trying to calm Reece down
with some food and he totally fell asleep so we weren’t able to do too
much more.

Right as I was about to leave he woke up and was ready to go again, so we got a few more shots!

The Wright Family

I just posted pictures up of little Landon DeWall and now I get to post
pictures up of his entire family!!! Katie called me up and told me that
her entire family was going to be in town and they wanted pictures of
the whole gang, so we set up a time and place to take the pictures.

The day that we were supposed to take the pictures it poured… do you
all remember that crazy weird weekend in May where it rained the entire
time and was so out of the blue… yea, that was the weekend. I was so
hoping that the rain would stop because I knew that this was not
something that we could easily reschedule considering they are all from
out of town. Well we decided to try to brave it the next day and go for
it rain or shine!

Luckily it wasn’t pouring the next day and we had some good light. It
did sprinkle on us and right after we did these pictures it poured, so
i’m glad we tried to do the pictures because we had a blast.

A lot of people ask me if taking pictures of weddings is hard… and I
have to say yes and no at the same time. I love photographing weddings
and I’ve been doing it so long that they aren’t really that difficult
for me; however, when it comes to family pictures sometimes those are
much harder than a wedding… the reason why…. whenever you add a lot
of people to a picture and then you add 4 kids all under the age of
2… you never know what will happen!

Katie and I were laughing because it was so chaotic and crazy, but we had a blast!

We have a ton of pictures so get ready!!

Like
I said, you never know what is going to happen when working with
kids… we were trying to get a shot of all the kids with Grandma and
Grandpa and it just wasn’t going to happen.

Katie
and her sister both have 2 boys and the funny thing is they are all so
close in age… the two older boys are about a month apart and so are
the younger ones… how fun that must have been to be pregnant at the
same time and now they have cousins that are the same age!

I Love this one! I don’t think the little guys cared for it to much, but it was fun!

little guy was too funny! He hated anything on his hands or feet and
kept asking grandma to get them off… he would freeze where he was and
make someone come get him! What a cutie!

Enjoying the cool Weather

Right now I am sitting in my parents living room in Pinetop, AZ
enjoying the cool weather. I needed to get away from the heat,
especially being pregnant!

I did a ton of sessions this last
week so i’m sitting here working on pictures and trying to catch up! I
am still checking email, so if you need to get ahold of me that is the
best way. Melanie is in the office as well a little each day and will
be checking voice mails.

A month or so ago I met an awesome lady, Jen. She owns a really cool company called My Three Sons Designs.
She makes amazing blankets, onsies, burp cloths, and other yummy things
for babys. You should check out her website and buy everyone you know
who has a baby one of her soft baby blankets. I bought one for Kailee
and she is going to LOVE it.

Well we met up this week and I took
some pictures for her for her site. I have only processed a few of them
so far, but wanted to show you some of her products for little girls!
More pictures will be coming as I finish up the boy stuff.
