Above and below are some old pictures of my dad when he was younger.

His 9th grade and Senior Year.

This
is where it gets special to me… that is me on his chest. Looking back
at these, this is one of my favorite pictures of all times.

My
dad holding my sister in the hospital and standing back watching his 2
girls show off their new easter dresses. He has always been there for
us through thick and thin.

Daddy’s little girl….. and helping to show off my new roller skates.

On
my wedding day dancing with my daddy was such an important thing. I
love these two pictures. I am so blessed to have pictures of my dad and
I growing up throughout the years… this is why I think photography is
soooo important because it captures those memories that 29 years later
mean more than anything else.

He has been an amazing husband….

And an amazing Bopa (Grandpa).

Truly
dad, you mean the world to me. Thank you for sticking around all these
years, thank you for loving your family, thank you for raising 2 girls
even when it wasn’t easy, thank you for loving us, your wife, your
family, and GOD. Thank you for showing us true love and for being an
amazing man of God. Thank you for being you.

I
think this is about the 7th session I have done for the DeWall family
and I love it every time they call me!! About 4 weeks ago they welcomed
their 2nd little guy into the world, Landon. He is so adorable and I
had a wonderful time taking pictures of him!

I did things a little differently this time and I hope that I really
captured this little guy! He was so different than his brother at this
age and it was so funny. Aiden, his brother was asleep the entire time
we did his newborn session but Landon was wide awake and not sure if he
was too happy about pictures… but we got some great ones and I love
it!!!

This is a new favorite of mine, just so beautiful and intimate!

Babies are not always happy getting their pictures taken, but it’s ok, it’s who they are:)

We got some great shots… very corporate! We pulled out the lighting
and did some basic set up shots that they could use on their website.

I thought I would share a few!

I have had many requests to see pictures of my belly…. and although
this is very hard for me to post up here for the world to see I had to
do it!!!

I am so lucky to have wonderful friends who are photographers! My friend Jennifer Bowen
went out with Jamie and I a few weeks ago and took “Maternity”
pictures! It was so weird being on the other side of the camera, and in
all actuality this if the first time in our lives that we have actually
gotten “professional pictures” taken of us… I know, I know.. sad huh?

But, all in all we had such a great time and i’m really happy with the pictures, although I am too critical of myself:):).

It was a fun experience because Jen was making me do things that I make
my clients do and I didn’t realize what I put you all through to get
great pictures:):) But it’s worth it right??

So, here are just a few… I haven’t had a chance to go through all of  them, so once I do I will post additional ones!

This is one of my favorite families of all times… the Graves
Family!!! Last year when I was out in Austin I took pictures of their
family and then John called me up this year and asked if I would come
out to Dallas and take pictures again. I’m hoping it’s a yearly thing
because I can’t get enough of this family!  It’s so much fun being able
to see a family grow and change every year.

We started taking pictures at their house in Dallas and then moved all
over the place to find some other unique places to get pictures. Nicole
follows my blog so she knows the kind of places that I look for. She
took me to a couple places that I LOVED…. she said, “I know you like
color and urban, so I thought this would work.” Um yea!!!!

I have so many favorites, but I cut it down to my favorite 30… i’m so bad at getting it down to a small number. So.. enjoy!

We
were shooting near a park and the kids were going crazy walking by all
the play equipment… so we decided to let them go at it!

The
whole gang! These girls have been helping this family out for years and
are such a part of the family. I’ve actually  known both of them for
about 10 years so it was so much fun connecting again with them and
catching up.

So Cute.

We then headed back to the house and played around some more with the girls. I love these jumping on the bed shots!

Nicole and Steven were married last Sunday at the Orange Tree Golf Resort.
I have been so excited for this wedding because I LOVE this couple.
Ever since I met with Nicole I knew that we would be a perfect fit! I’m
actually a time share owner with Shell Vacations, which is Orange Tree,
and they both work for Shell, so it was kind of fun being on the
property to shoot this wedding.

It was an exciting day and I was so thankful to have Andy Andrews, Jocelyn Sanders, and my husband there to help me out. We were a great team and everyone got great pictures.. thanks you guys!

The wedding was wonderful but the ceremony did have it’s
difficulties… the sunset at 7:30 and that is when the ceremony
started as well, so it was pretty much all the way dark during the
ceremony. Luckily Nicole had told me about this, so I pulled out some
great lighting and we got some AMAZING pictures out of it! I was so
happy with how it all turned out.

and Nicole wanted to see each other before the wedding. I love Stevens
reaction. He said this moment was one of the most amazing moments of
his life!! I love hearing that!!

People
often wonder if they see each other before the ceremony if it is still
as important when they walk down the aisle… ummmm… YES!!! Look at
Stevens face as Nicole was walking toward him… it was just as
emotional!

This
is the section that was all lit by our fancy easy going lighting… the
pictures were great… it was pretty much complete darkness from here
on out!

Love this!!

And we ended the ceremony with surprise fireworks!!!! I had no idea they were coming… i’m not sure who did.
